A Trojan Downloader is a program that is designed to download other programs and/or files from a hidden server on the Internet. Once downloaded the Trojan will then execute the programs. The general object of the Trojan Downloader is to get malicious programs past computer defenses and then install or other execute the them.
Typical of the programs installed are other Trojan programs such as backdoors to allow an attacker access to the infected system.
