Category: Adware Bundlers

Overview
An Adware Bundler is a program, typically downloadable, that besides containing the desired program has additional adware programs. The adware programs are installed along with the primary program. The trade off is the primary program is provided "free" in exchange for allowing the adware to be installed. Some "free" programs require that the adware remain installed or the program will cease to function.
Threat Level
Typically Low Risk as the presence of the Adware is usually acknowledged in the initial license (EULA / End User License Agreement) that requires acceptance for installing the software.
Action
  1. Use a quality spyware removal program to remove and prevent future infections. See our recommendations to automatically delete threats like these. As noted above removal of the adware programs may cause the desired program to quit working and/or put you in violation of the end user license agreement (EULA).
